Citizens Advice East Dorset and Purbeck is an independent charity that offers free, impartial and independent advice to everyone in the community. We receive no support from central Government and are reliant on three main sources of income:
- Contributions from the Local Authority and local town and Parish Councils in recognition of the work undertaken for their constituents
- Grants and donations from local businesses or other charities and grant making organisations
- Contributions from the Friends
Current Government policy is impacting significantly on the funding and organisation of Local Authorities over the next three to five years, and there is great uncertainty over the level of support the CA will get in the future. There needs to be a change in the approach to funding the service, with much greater emphasis placed on fundraising.
We will be looking at identifying support from every possible source to fund our plan to expand our services into more rural areas and to help increase the numbers of people we can help. If you are able to help please make a donation here.
