Trainee Energy Adviser/Energy Adviser (part time)
Citizens Advice in East Dorset & Purbeck is looking for a part time Trainee Energy Adviser/Energy Adviser to join our dynamic organisation, joining our Dorset and BCP Energy Unit which runs across the whole of Dorset (both Council areas).

The Adviser will be responsible for the delivery of energy advice to households in order to reduce fuel poverty. The project aims to build financial resilience among vulnerable consumers and increase the likelihood of households being able to meet their heating requirements to stay warm and safe and avoid cold-related health problems. Advice may include reducing energy expenditure, income maximisation, avoiding debt and disconnection, and helping to resolve complaints.
This service will be delivered through various channels including telephone, online support, face to face and occasional home visits. The post is part-time, being based in the office at Wareham/Wimborne and located across both Dorset Council and Bournemouth, Christchurch & Poole Council areas.
You will need to demonstrate proven competence in delivering advice to consumers. You may also be asked to train to achieve at least a NVQ Level 2 in Energy Awareness. You will need a full driving licence.

Trainee/Experienced Project Admin Support - Energy Unit
Our Energy Unit needs support!
We are looking for a project admin support worker to work alongside admin support and our team of caseworkers in the Energy Unit covering Dorset and BCP. This can be an entry level role with training provided.
You would be engaging with clients and progressing people to achieve positive outcomes. Whether that be applying for charitable support, making sure that outcomes are recorded or gathering client feedback. It is an interesting and rewarding role, and the outcomes achieved through the project are incredible.

Training Manager
Citizens Advice in East Dorset and Purbeck is seeking an innovative and enthusiastic Training Manager. This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking for a new challenge.
You will be responsible for developing a fresh approach to recruiting and training, ensuring that organisational training objectives are set, delivered, reviewed and updated as necessary.
Normal place of work: Hybrid – mixture of Wimborne and Wareham offices and outreaches and home working
Travel: Some travel may be required
Contract length: Permanent
Hours: 18 hours per week over three days
Salary: Between £30,296 – £31364 pro rata plus 3% workplace pension

Adviceline is our Dorset-wide telephone service. As an assessor you will answer calls from the public on a wide variety of topics (see below). You will explore the client’s situation and look up relevant information to help. You may be office-based or working remotely but you will always have support.
You will help clients face to face and by telephone and email. You may help with awareness events, social media or research and campaigns. You will join us for a 30 week placement.
You will help clients face to face with accessing our public website to look for information. You may assist with simple forms.
You will help clients face to face or on the telephone with a variety of different enquiries. You will explore the client’s situation in detail and look up relevant information to help the client take action or take action on their behalf.
