How to apply for the London Marathon 2027
Would you like to run the London Marathon 2027 and raise funds for Citizens Advice in East Dorset & Purbeck?
We are inviting people who are interested in applying to complete a short questionnaire telling us a bit about yourself and why you’d like to raise funds for us.
The closing date for applications is the 31st August 2026. Good luck!
How funds will be used
Demand on our service is ever increasing. In financial year 2025-2026 we helped over 6,000 people with over 27,000 issues. Funds raised will go towards the running costs of the Advice Bus and towards the general service enabling us to continue bringing vital services directly to vulnerable people in their communities across the whole of East Dorset & Purbeck and surrounding areas.
Many people are unable to access their existing services due to rural isolation, reduced mobility or poor access to public transport. The Advice Bus brings friendly, experienced advisers directly to rural communities.
We are an independent charity and are reliant upon donations and grants to ensure we can continue to provide essential support to local residents.
There are many ways to fundraise for Citizens Advice in East Dorset & Purbeck– from walks to skydives, swims to cycles and much more!
You could enter an organised event such as the Jurassic Coast Challenge or come along to one of the Jive Nights at the Bournemouth Pavilion hosted by one of our former Trustees. All profits raised go to Citizens Advice in East Dorset & Purbeck. More information can be found on the Jive Night website. Or, if you’re inspired, why not set up your own challenge?
We are also registered on Charity Challenge. Find out about how to get involved with different fundraising events. For more information please email [email protected]
Once you’ve decided on your fundraising activity don’t forget to set up your Just Giving page.
