Dorset residents can now contact Citizens Advice free of charge, using a new freephone adviceline number.
The Dorset Adviceline number has changed to 0800 144 8848, allowing residents even greater access to free advice.
Helen Goldsack, Chief Officer for East Dorset and Purbeck Citizens Advice said: “This is a real benefit for Dorset residents, as it allows everyone access to advice without having the added worry of call charges.”
“It’s come at a time when the demand on our services is ever increasing. We are seeing people coming to us with a wide range of problems including employment, benefit and relationship issues and with the current uncertainties surrounding additional restrictions and lockdown, we need our service to be accessible to everyone.”
Since the start of lockdown on 23rd March, Citizens Advice across Dorset have helped more than *7000 people with over *25,000 issues, with the top issues being benefit and employment related advice.

East Dorset Citizens Advice is open for drops-ins at their office in Hanham Road, Wimborne on Mondays and Tuesdays 10am-12pm and their outreach centre at Heatherlands is open on Thursdays 9.30am-2pm.
